Saturday 29 November 2025 Home to London

Well that started well, left the car on Peter's drive and got to the bus stop in time to catch the 10.15 bus to Norwich which decided to break down just past Beccles, at Gillingham in the layby, thankfully they stopped the 10.30 bus to Norwich for us so we only had to wait about 15 minuets, but it was already packed and we had to stand all the way to Norwich.
The coach journey to London was great, only about 20 passenger and nice and warm, we even got in early.
The story changed when we tried to board the underground train on the Victoria Line, the station was packed with people. like us, heading north. We almost caught the southbound train for one stop to get on there. We eventually squeezed onto the second train that arrived, again standing all the way to St Pancras.

We stayed at the Wardonia Hotel again, it’s very convenient for the Eurostar terminal , but this time we had a ground floor room, last time it was up in the roof. We have tried several small hotels in the area and this is the best so far and much cheaper than a Premier inn.
In the evening we went for dinner with my eldest grand daughter at Casa Tua at a very nice Italian Restaurant just a short walk away. Then back to the hotel for an early night.
