We wandered back down to the boat for lunch on the deck again before casting off to lock back up to the canal at 2 o’clock, the only problem was the lock keeper didn’t start work until 2-30 pm. As we were moored the umbrellas were up to give a bit of shade.
The full party is in this one. Elizabeth, Jeff, Jean, John, Diana, me and Helen.
As we were early for the lock we had a bit of hanging about to do in the river current before we were on our way up to the Canal de Garonne again.
Once back on the canal we continued by turning right and after three locks we were crossing The River Tarn on the Pont Canal du Cacor, this was the aqueduct we had passed under yesterday afternoon on the river.
Our mooring for the night was Castelsarrasin, not a spot I would have chosen in the UK to moor with the boat under a bridge as there would be no telling what you would find on the roof in the morning, but here in France we were just fine. Just before we reached our mooring there is a duck house just to the edge of the main channel.
